If you could give three words of advice to a presidential canidate, what would they be?
Try your best.
I chosse those three words because if you dont try you wont succeed. Its easy to give up on something and if you give up and people find out that you give up they wont vote for you or wont like you. Also if you give up and still win the election you wont be a good president (there would be a very small chance that you would win) but still if you do win you would have gave up at one time.
Why do we have no school monday…?
Its a day to remember Martin Luther King Jr. He felt very strongly about the rights of Black Americans. He thought balcks and whites should have equal rights. He was born on January 15th 1929. He gave a speech on August 28, 1963.

I choose the second video about the book. I think the main idea this video is to not judge a book by its a cover and you have to try something before you give up and ask for help. The first point is that if you need help with something to just ask. The second point is that if you look at something don’t just try something different you never know if you would like it or not. The third point is to do something for yourself and don’t have a friend do something for you. Try something and don’t give up before trying something new. An image I would use is a pickture of a book or someone giving up and going to something else.
I think my Grandpa influenced me the most. He would give and my sisters a dollar when we were little and he would have us save up our money and that also tought us how to count. He would always have us help him garden every summer but we would walk behind him and pull the flowers out of the ground :). He told us to never give up. He died of a heart attack in 1999. I was very little and my dad took me and one of my sister (my other sister is my half sister. I dont live with her) to dinner and told us we had to leave because I started crying. I still remeber him and loved him a lot.
Last night (10/24/07) I watched the world series. I like the Red sox so I started to watch it. I’m the olny one in my family thats into sports and im the only on who likes the red sox so I watched it by myself. It wasn’t as boring as I thought. Iv’e only been to one baseball game before and I don’t even remember the teams that were playing. I never even heard of the Rockies until I head they were going into the world series. The only rocies that i ever heard of is the rock cats and there not even in the majors (my cats name is rocky also). I didnt watch the whole game because I was getting yelled at (plus i was getting a little bored).
I think they should test students for drugs because a lot of people in high school do drugs and they drink. Someone told me that people in her school come into school drunk. People who do activities might do drugs because of the stress, peer pressure from the other students on the activities, or they just do drugs because they think its cool. i think they should test student in high school, middle school, and collage.
On nine eleven I was in school. My mom came and picked me and my sister up early then she told us what happened. When we got home we went and watched the news to see what was happening. It was sad watching it but i felt bad for the firefightes and the people who were in the twin towers when the plane crashed. The next day at school they told the whole school about it over the intercome. When we heard that the pentagon was hit we were suprised because a week before the twin towers were hit we were in Washington D.C.

I think the most important Amendment is the Eigth Amendment because if you steal something and get put in jail there should be a bail and no fine. If you hurt someone and get put in jail I think the bail and fine should be expensive. You deserve a punishment for making someone suffer and if you pay a fine you will be mad that you have to pay the fine. The Eight Amendment says: It forbids bail or fines, amd cruel and unusual punishment.
I wish that a cure for cancer is invented and people with cancer can be cured.
